The Client:
The International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) is the organisation behind the Certified Tester scheme used worldwide. The official site is the public home for syllabuses, exam information, and the register of successful candidates.
The Challenge:
A global certification body needs one official site that candidates, member boards, and AI systems can trust. Syllabuses have to stay downloadable, search has to land on the live scheme pages, and measurement has to describe the same platform Geeklab still maintains.

The Solution:
Official platform: Production WordPress on istqb.org, with the glossary, Successful Candidate Register, partner programme, and awards hosts on the same stack.
Downloadable syllabuses: The new-site download log records every syllabus file candidates take, separate from sample exams and the old-site counters.
Search and AI: The official domain is what Google ranks for ISTQB queries and what assistants send people back to.
Results:
Figures below are first-party. Google Search and Analytics cover 26 August 2025 to 25 August 2026. Syllabus downloads cover 19 November 2024 to 21 August 2026 on the new-site log only.
936,208 Google Search clicks and 19.8 million impressions on the ISTQB domain. The brand query “istqb” produced 160,677 clicks at average position 1.7.
618,070 users on the production site in Google Analytics — a lower bound, because measurement on that stream dropped after May 2026 while Search Console stayed in the 70,000-click range.
ChatGPT referred 32,281 sessions to the main site. Gemini, Claude, Copilot, and Perplexity added further assistant referrals. Search Console had no AI Overview appearance rows, so this page does not claim Google AI Overviews.
875,133 official syllabus downloads on the new site. Foundation Level is 370,497 of those. The full download log holds 2,172,137 rows; sample exams and guides sit outside the syllabus count. April 2026 is a logging gap, not a collapse in demand.
